Participation at the photo14, Europe's largest exhibition for contemporary photography
On 10 January 2014 starts the photo14 - the ninth edition of Europe's largest exhibition for contemporary photography. I am very pleased to receive again an invitation after already participating at the photo in 2013 and will show a complete new portfolio. "Abandoned Places" is a portrait of lost and forgotten buildings from the era of industrialization. In contrast to the "clutter" and expediency reduced structures of modern architectural buildings dilapidated buildings show a special charm through the loss of their original function. The aging and weathering processes have created here over the years objects with remarkable aesthetic value.
In five industrial buildings at the Maag site in Zurich from 10 - 01.14.2014 more than 100 national and international photographers show their talent and eye for the unusual. Visitors can also look forward to a unique forum with international superstars, additionally four special exhibitions and a new restaurant concept.
The photo gives every year a representative overview of the photographic work of Switzerland and enjoys great popularity : About 17,500 visitors came last year to the photo13.
